Candidates for various elected offices in 2018 will be featured speakers at the DORR breakfast meeting on Thursday December 21at at 8 AM at the Old Sedona Family Restaurant, Route 89A, Sedona.
Bobby Tyler, current mayor of Holbrook, is running for the Legislative District 6 seat being vacated by current State Representative Brenda Barton who is term-limited.

Save the date!
DORR’s Annual Meeting will be held on January 28th, 4:30 PM,at St. Andrew's Church, Sedona. It will be a pot luck so bring a main dish, salad, or dessert. Come and learn about other upcoming events, meet many candidates, and elect the DORR Board of Directors for 2018. One of the main speakers will be Jevin Hodge. He is a Vice Chairman of the Arizona Democratic Party and a very inspiring speaker. Jevin acted as an advisor the President Barack Obama and his administration as to how the best engage millenials. He is noted as one of America's leading young agents for change.
Just a few more days and it will be 2018, the year we take back Arizona from those nasty Republicans. The Yavapai County Democratic Party (YOUR Party!) is initiating a major membership and fund-raising campaign called “Out With the Mean in 2018,” the purpose of which, I think, should be obvious: Putting an end to the nightmare we are living. The campaign will include a mass mailing, launch of a new website, frequent mass e-mailings and robo-calls, and logistic and financial support of Democratic candidates running at every level in the county.
All Democrats will be called upon to help in any way that they can so we can turn Arizona (and maybe even Congress!) blue. One way you can participate is to attend monthly Party meetings, and you can do this without leaving your home turf via our Zoom video connection. If you live in VOC or Sedona City, you can come to the DORR office (on 89A next to Olde Sedona Restaurant) the second Thursdays of the month at 6 PM. There will be a pot luck. Call Paul (928-284-6824) for info. If you live closer to Cottonwood, you can join the meeting at Jan Graham’s house in Cornville. (Call Jan at 928-634-7563 for directions.) You can even attend in the comfort of your own home, alone or as the nucleus of your own neighborhood “cell.” To find out how, call Paul at 928-284-6824.
The next meeting is Thursday, December 14.
